The DSASTX in partnership with Emily Metcalf, MT-BC, will be offering a 6-week music therapy class for individuals with Down syndrome. The overall goal is to reinforce academic concepts.

Music Therapy for little ones (ages 0-6yo)

Objectives:
Be able to identify numbers 1-5
Be able to recite days of the week, alphabet, and months of the year

Sessions are from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the DSASTX office:
January 14, 21, 28
February 4, 11, 18

Cost: $30/child ($5/session)

LITTLE ONES REGISTER HERE

Music Therapy for Adults (ages 18+)

Objectives:

To be able to respond appropriately to greetings within 10 seconds of being greeted
Present requests in complete sentences with no more than 2 prompts
Maintain eye contact for 50% of the time during a conversation
Communicate current feeling/emotion with no more than 2 prompts (if verbal) using a complete sentence

Sessions are from 1:20-2:30 p.m. at the DSASTX office:
