Music & Movement (ages 0-5)

Music is a language, and children are oriented toward learning language. It evokes movement, and children delight in and require movement for their development and growth.

Children ages 0-5 with Down syndrome or any special needs and age-appropriate siblings are welcome to join our Music & Movement class every Saturday from 11 - 11:45 a.m. at the DSASTX Maggie Hartman Community & Education Center, 1127 Patricia, 78213. Please RSVP to Melania Evans at mevans@dsastx.org or 210-349-4372.

Meet our instructor! Jessalyn Smith is a masters-level educated special education teacher. She worked for 4 years in the public school system before becoming a stay at home mom to her two children, one of whom is a 2-year-old whom was adopted at birth and happens to have Down syndrome.

Dates:
May 6, 20
June 3, 17, 24
July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Class will not be held over Memorial Day weekend.
